Joseph V. McNabb
Joe spent 23 years in the U.S. Air Force after graduating from the USAF Academy in 1965, with two tours in Viet Nam and Thailand flying the Phantom fighter jet and many assignments throughout the world.
After retiring from the Air Force, he attended law school at FSU. In 1991, he graduated summa cum laude with highest honors, Order of the Coif and was a member of the Law Review. While at FSU, he received awards for academic excellence in legal research and writing, torts, evidence, remedies, Florida civil practice, and litigation.
He worked in the construction litigation department at Carlton Fields in Tampa for several years before joining up with his friend Steve Marlowe in 1998 to form Marlowe & McNabb. Joe was a member of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. He was admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He served on the Board of Trustees for the Hillsborough Rural Community Development Corporation. He was also a contributing author of State-By-State Guide To Architect, Engineer and Contractor Licensing,(Aspen Publishers, 1999).
After seventeen years practicing law, Joe retired.
Joe was a wonderful husband to his beloved wife, Kathy, an amazing father to his daughter Kimberly Jo and her husband Daxson Williams and an adoring grandfather to Mary Jane Elizabeth Williams and Mallory Joseph Williams.
Joe was a great lawyer, partner, and friend. We are proud to honor his legacy by continuing to include his name for our firm.
