Melisa M. Fernandez
Melisa M. Fernandez earned her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her bachelor’s degree in political science with a concentration in Latin-American studies from the University of South Florida. Melisa is fluent in Spanish.
Melisa’s practice includes construction claims, contract documents, and litigation. She primarily represents owners, developers, contractors, and subcontractors, in construction defect disputes, contract disputes, insurance coverage disputes, bond claims, lien foreclosure actions, and complex litigation. Prior to joining Marlowe McNabb Machnik, her previous practice included real property title disputes, mortgage and claim of lien foreclosures, and condominium and homeowner’s associations.
Melisa is a member of the Florida Bar and its Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in all Florida State courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Outside of the office, Melisa enjoys attending concerts, traveling, hiking, painting, and spending time with her husband and rambunctious golden retriever.
